Carousel

and some of the sweetest experiences you could imagine

My mother loved Carousels. So much so that she would have us drive to distant towns so she could ride on one. I will always remember her flowing dark curls as the horse would carry her into deep hearts of laughter.
I saw this traveling small carnival behind the mall went I went shopping this week-here at my in-laws. I decided I would go back one evening to see if I could photograph the carousel.
I have written before about the connection monarch butterflies hold to me in relation to my mom. It is the reason my store is named Monarch.
I have felt my mom a lot this past week - having the cance to photograph monarch butterflies and a Carousel. It has been really nice:)

i know she was with you - i think they have been with us a lot recently... maybe something in the stars? who knows, but it's comforting.
These photographs are *incredible*, T. I love them all and might have to change the swap print for one of these xxooo
these photographs are mesmorizing.
i feel deeply that she was with you too.
love you toe to toe.
wonderful, i really love this whole post :)
I always love your photos, but these of the carousel especially grabbed me. very potent...
i like the blueish antique type effect on the first picture .. gives the picture some kinda darkness (not in terms of color)
